The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, and promote independence for seniors and individuals with disabilities or developmental needs. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those served. The In Home Caregiver will play a vital role in fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for clients. Duties Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring personalized care. Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support. Support senior clients through companionship and assistance with daily routines to promote well-being and independence. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social activities as needed. Safely transfer patients using appropriate methods to prevent injury or discomfort. Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure immediate safety in emergency situations. Support individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs by providing tailored care and assistance. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Requirements Prior experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring personal care assistance is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in geriatrics is highly valued. Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients of diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of patient transfer methods and safe handling techniques. Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are advantageous for providing transportation assistance. Patience, empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.
