Job description Annandale Behavioral Health is seeking a part time tech or counselor to work NOC Shift. Swing and daytime shifts may become available, but the position is for NOC only right now. We're looking for the following: Act as a primary member of the care team, assisting Clients in their daily recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, during the detox and stabilization process. Conduct property searches of clients as required by program standards. Perform CIWAS and COWS scales on all clients. Document all information into EMR Oversee clients self-administration of medication. Screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms. Screen for danger to self or others, addressing pertinent issues that need to escalate to key members of the treatment team. Provides transportation services including patient transportation, business errands, airport pick-up/drop off, as needed. Coordinate and assist with client outings. Demonstrate adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct. Will collect, secure and transfer custody of urine specimen for drug screen analysis based on current company policy and procedure. Organization and maintenance of company facilities to ensure a safe, clean and structured environment for our Clients. Participate in continuing professional development and hands-on training to improve skills and increase knowledge base of client issues, procedures and policies. Recognize and report client behavioral changes. Identify personal boundaries, JCAHO guidelines, HIPAA and DHCS compliance requirements. Foster relations and be able to work with others, as part of a cohesive treatment team. Adhere to high standards and represent the company with the highest level of professionalism. Recognize and be mindful of personal biases, working within diverse populations. Working knowledge of the philosophy and approach Smart Recovery and 12 step program (if client would like 12 step program) preferred. Qualifications and Skills Med room experience a plus Industry experience preferred. Willing to train the right candidates. Personal experiences with recovery and treatment a plus. CPR & First Aid License required. Valid driver's license required for this position.
