This position involves working closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through personalized care plans, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service while adhering to HIPAA regulations. In this role, the caregiver will be providing 2-on-1 support for the client. As such, interpersonal skills and a team-centered mindset is needed. Specific Responsibilities/Requirements Female caregiver is required. Light housekeeping. Light meal prep. Hygiene (adult briefs) and bathing. Use of hoyer lift to transfer client. Pleasant demeanor. Taking client on walks around the complex in a wheelchair. Experience with cerebral palsy is preferred, but not required. Punctuality, reliability, and honesty is a must. General Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients with developmental disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation for clients with dementia or memory care needs. Document client progress and any changes in behavior or condition accurately for case management purposes. Utilize conflict management skills to address any issues that arise effectively while maintaining a positive environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care delivery. General Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices and memory care techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Previous experience in patient care or senior care settings is an advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Conflict management skills to navigate challenging situations effectively. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Relevant certifications or training in case management or caregiving are beneficial but not required.
