Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to report any concerns promptly Support residents with meal preparation and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions Maintain detailed care plans and document all activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling techniques safely and effectively Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards Support residents' mental and emotional well-being through compassionate communication and engagement Conduct patient monitoring for signs of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorders, or other neurodevelopmental conditions Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning living areas to ensure a safe environment Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings when needed Uphold residents' rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and autonomy at all times Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable Experience in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home health care settings preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care or hospice care is a plus Familiarity with patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices required Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques necessary Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is advantageous Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers Join us if you're passionate about caregiving and eager to provide compassionate support that truly enhances lives.
