In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to seniors and individuals with disabilities during nighttime hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Monitor residents throughout the day /night, ensuring their safety and comfort while responding promptly to their needs. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, bathing, dressing, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Conduct regular checks of residents' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to monitor health status. Manage behavioral challenges and dementia-related symptoms with patience and effective behavior management techniques. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Document incidents, resident observations, and shift reports thoroughly to ensure seamless communication with daytime staff and healthcare professionals. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is essential but training can be provided. Certification or training in first aid and CPR ; additional certifications such as medication administration or EMR systems familiarity are advantageous but training can be provided. Ability to work overnight shifts consistently while maintaining high levels of energy and attentiveness. Strong interpersonal skills to engage residents compassionately and collaborate effectively with team members. Experience operating mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers is desirable.
