Job Description
Caregiver / Homemaker — Castle Rock, CO Overview Seeking a Caregiver/Homemaker to provide one-on-one, in-home support to a client in the Castle Rock for 20 hours per week. You will help someone stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home through consistent, respectful daily support. Schedule 5 to 6 days per week in Castle Rock Same client every shift, not a rotating assignment Consistent day-to-day schedule you can plan around Weekly hours are established by the client's approved service authorization Reliability on scheduled shifts is essential What you'll do Light housekeeping: cleaning, dishes, laundry, changing linens, and keeping living areas organized and safe Meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparing meals that fit the client's dietary needs Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as outlined in the client's service plan, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide standby assistance and cueing to support independence rather than doing tasks for the client Accompany the client to appointments, errands, and community outings Offer companionship and encourage engagement in activities the client enjoys Record each visit accurately using electronic visit verification (EVV) at clock-in and clock-out, and document tasks completed Report any change in condition, safety concern, or incident promptly What we're looking for Experience supporting adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, or age-related needs, in home care, group home, assisted living, or similar settings Dependability above all: this client needs a caregiver who shows up on schedule Comfort with household tasks as a core part of the role, not an afterthought Patience and strong communication, including with clients who communicate differently Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility and perform routine physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods Understanding of client confidentiality and HIPAA Valid Colorado driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and clean driving record Must pass a CBI background check and CAPS check, provide TB screening, and complete orientation prior to first shift Smartphone capable of running the EVV app Nice to have Prior CFC, IHSS, EBD, or BI waiver experience CPR and First Aid certification CNA, PCW, or QMAP credential
