Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Westcliffe caregiver, where your dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support residents' daily needs, and promote their independence and well-being. This position offers an energizing opportunity to foster a warm, respectful environment while delivering essential services that enhance quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs to ensure residents' health and safety Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing behavior management techniques to promote comfort and stability Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when needed Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Drive residents to appointments or activities in compliance with safety standards and licensing regulations Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care environments Knowledge of long-term care practices, senior care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management strategies Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively to emergencies Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information and care activities Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, and families Valid driver's license for safe transportation duties; willingness to assist with driving as needed Embark on a rewarding caregiving journey where your skills directly uplift lives! Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
