The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and nursing staff in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Assist in emergency situations by providing immediate care and support. Use of medical equipment such as but not limited to; Hoyer lifts, wheel chairs, sit to stand lifts Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support infection control measures in accordance with protocols for infectious disease care. Assist in catheter care and other specialized procedures as needed. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient service and care. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program preferred. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly desirable. Knowledge of emergency medicine practices and protocols. Ability to use mechanical lifts, such as but not limited to Hoyer lifts and sit to stand lifts Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
