Overview We are seeking a dedicated Live-In Caregiver to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care to clients in a home setting. This vital role involves supporting individuals with diverse needs, including elderly patients, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring specialized memory or hospice care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and home healthcare, demonstrating excellent caregiving skills and a commitment to enhancing clients' quality of life through attentive and respectful support. Duties Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and recognizing signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound management, and hospice-related tasks while adhering to medical terminology standards. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA privacy standards. Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia through specialized techniques and patient observation. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts safely and assist with transfers to ensure client safety during heavy lifting activities. Foster a safe environment by practicing first aid and basic life support (CPR) when necessary, ensuring readiness for emergencies. Experience Prior experience working as a live-in caregiver or in home health agencies is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in assisted living environments, geriatrics, or long-term care settings. Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or hospice needs. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, and medical documentation practices. Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred. Proven ability to perform patient observation accurately while maintaining compassion and professionalism. Hands-on experience with home health equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is advantageous.
