This vital role involves creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment while promoting independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in clients' lives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to deliver personalized caregiving services in a supportive and dynamic setting. Duties Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs, observe health status, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Assist with medication administration following care plans and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as required Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, mobility, and personal hygiene Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about resident needs and rights Qualifications Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings or group homes, especially with elderly or disabled populations Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and caring for individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or medication administration are highly desirable Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and patient observation skills Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Flexibility to work long hours in a live-in capacity while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor Join us in delivering exceptional caregiving services that enhance the quality of life for those we serve.
