Duties Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs and reporting any concerns promptly Support medication reminders and help with medication administration under supervision Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Facilitate recreational activities, outings, and community involvement to promote mental stimulation Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through light housekeeping and personal hygiene assistance Use proper patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety Follow care plans meticulously while respecting residents' rights and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations Provide transportation assistance for appointments or outings using safe patient transfer methods Support residents with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized memory care techniques Document observations accurately in care records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration Experience providing personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and mobility support Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to patient information Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or memory care practices is advantageous Hands-on experience using patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling devices Background working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support is beneficial Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and meal preparation efficiently Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in caregiving or nursing are a plus Strong communication skills for engaging clients effectively while respecting their dignity and rights Join us to make a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
