Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to ensure comfort and safety. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress and well-being. Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing tailored care to foster inclusion. Maintain a safe environment by following health guidelines, conducting safety checks, and adhering to mandated reporting laws when necessary. Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and consistent discipline techniques. Requirements Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments. Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-specific care requirements. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current on safety practices. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to plan engaging activities that support early childhood education principles and developmental milestones. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a nurturing environment. $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
