Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and physical condition; report any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility tasks. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking while considering dietary restrictions. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties. Provide emotional support through active communication, companionship, and engagement tailored to individual needs, including those with developmental disabilities. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Personal Support Worker or in similar caregiving roles within group homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, care plans, medication administration, and resident's rights. Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or medication administration are advantageous. Physical ability to perform lifting and assist with patient transfers; capable of standing, and performing manual tasks safely.
