Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Weekend Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As a Weekend Caregiver, you will play a vital part in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life for your clients during weekend hours. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute their caregiving skills in a dynamic environment. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Support residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to ensure safety and well-being Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and reduce feelings of isolation Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, vital signs, medication administration, and any changes in condition Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or aging populations in group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and resident's rights principles Ability to perform patient observation and monitoring effectively while adhering to safety protocols such as CPR and first aid certification Skilled in manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams about care plans and progress Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience working with patients requiring hospice or home health services is a plus Join us as a Weekend Caregiver if you're passionate about providing compassionate support that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
