Youth Group Home Aide/Caregiver

The Seminole Youth Home provides care for Tribal children ages 0 to 17 years old. The Home is open 24/7 so we need staff with flexibility to work full-time including weekends and holidays. At the moment we're looking to staff for: Second Shift which is from 1:00pm to 10:00pm. Rotation is either Sunday to Thursday, off Friday and Saturday OR Friday to Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday. Third Shift which is from 10pm to 7am. Rotation is either Tuesday to Saturday, off Sunday and Monday OR Thursday to Monday, off Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you live more than 40 miles away, you may also qualify for a fuel stipend. Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the direct care and supervision for all Youth Home residents. The incumbent promotes and follows all instructions to provide a safe environment to the youth admitted to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Youth Home. The individual provides daytime and overnight supervision, engages with all residents in activities, supports all residents to complete all daily and nightly living skills, and completes all daily and nightly operational/housekeeping functions.

Qualifications / Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Home Health Aid or similar field supervising and/or monitoring youth is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Availability and willingness to work a wide array of hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required by the position.
