GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will assist the impaired elderly with bathing, dressing, ambulation, housekeeping, supervision, emotional security, eating and supervision of self-administered medications.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist client with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding and transfer of ambulatory needs, including use of wheelchair, crutches and walker. Assist client to and from the bathroom. Assist client with self-administered medications. (Worker cannot administer medication, but can remind client of the time to take it and bring the medicine bottle to the client). Light housekeeping duties. Provide nutrition and meal planning assistance. Relieve primary care giver by supervising functionally impaired elderly for a specific amount of time (determined by the Case Manager). Perform other support services as assigned by the Case Manager.

AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

: The incumbent is delegated full authority necessary for the effective performance of the responsibilities assigned, within the restrictions of applicable SREC policies and instructions, and is fully accountable to the supervisor for his or her performance.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

: Ability to perform duties. Ability to work with persons 60+ years of age. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to complete required paperwork accurately.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bondable Must pass Background and Drug Screening Test. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have valid vehicle insurance. Must be a licensed CNA or Home Health Aide. On-Call position at first that would lead into permanent 40 hours position. Benefits would be available when they become a full time employee.
