Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes or signs of distress Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines to ensure privacy and compliance Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition according to individual dietary needs Help with patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to promote safety during mobility Maintain cleanliness by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning patient areas and assisting with laundry Document patient observations, care provided, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about residents' needs and progress Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety during transfers and travel Assist with specialized care including Alzheimer's care, dementia support, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders Follow care plans meticulously while respecting residents' rights and promoting dignity in all interactions Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring required Experience with medication administration, first aid, CPR certification preferred but not mandatory; training provided if needed Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; physical stamina is essential Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to assist with personal transportation needs safely and responsibly Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued Knowledge of dementia care, memory support strategies, resident's rights, and care plans is advantageous Must be dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care Join us in making a positive impact every day!
