Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and dignity. Support residents with medication administration following established protocols and safety procedures. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques. Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility needs. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary plans while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Engage residents through meaningful activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Experience Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred, especially within residential or community care settings. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's is advantageous. Familiarity with geriatrics, home & community care practices, and resident-centered support enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training in safe patient lifting practices and medication administration is provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently is essential for resident support. Proven skills in client communication, behavior management, and group home experience contribute to creating a positive environment for residents.
