Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Direct Support Staff. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with diverse needs, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications, and recording care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and transfer of residents Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders Maintain accurate care plans, document incidents, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding resident progress or concerns Assist with community outings or transportation needs to promote social engagement and independence Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, Alzheimer's care, and hospice care practices is desirable Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support needs Experience in patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs measurement is essential Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining resident confidentiality is required Hands-on experience using patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and understanding manual handling safety protocols Background in caregiving roles involving patient personal care assistance, assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, and personal transportation assistance Join us if you're passionate about providing exceptional care in a supportive environment!
