Duties Provide attentive personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and household organization to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Support residents with cognitive challenges by engaging in memory care activities, Alzheimer's care techniques, and dementia-specific strategies. Facilitate safe patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and proper manual handling techniques while adhering to resident's rights and safety protocols. Offer companionship through engaging conversations, recreational activities, and emotional support to promote mental well-being. Maintain detailed care plans, document patient observations accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and ensure confidentiality at all times. Requirements Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient transfer methods. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks as needed Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
