Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques Administer medications accurately following established protocols and document all medication activities diligently Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status and report any concerns promptly Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities through tailored memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents during meals by meal preparation and feeding assistance to promote nutritional health Operate standard passenger cars safely for transportation needs or community outings as required Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring adherence to infection control standards Uphold residents' rights by respecting their dignity, privacy, and individual preferences at all times Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver comprehensive care plans aligned with each resident's needs Experience Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred, especially in residential or personal care home settings Demonstrated experience working with seniors or individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities in group home or retirement home environments Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques along with familiarity in managing behavioral challenges associated with memory loss Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift operation or medication administration are advantageous Experience working with residents' rights policies ensures respectful and ethical treatment of all individuals served Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting residents during transfers or mobility activities Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary care settings Embark on a rewarding journey where your caregiving skills foster independence and joy.
