As a Direct Care Provider, you play a vital role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Your hands-on support and supervision are key in enhancing their independence, health, and safety, ultimately enriching their overall quality of life. You'll assist with activities of daily living, implement personalized support plans, and monitor health and behavior—all while maintaining meticulous records to ensure we meet the highest standards of care. You not only uphold clients' rights and confidentiality but also actively encourage their development in self-care, socialization, and community involvement. As a primary caregiver and advocate, your commitment makes a world of difference. Our services focus on Personal Support and Life Skills Development Level II - Companion, aligning with the guidelines of the Agency for People with Disabilities (APD). Together, we are making meaningful strides in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for those we serve! Minimum requirements for the position are: Be 18 years or older Possess a high school diploma or GED Possess at least one year of verifiable experience working directly with individuals receiving services in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare setting, or working with recipients who have a developmental disability In lieu of the required working experience, applicants may have 30 semester hours, 45 quarter-hours, or 720 classroom hours of college or vocational school. Level II Background Check is required by APD. The staff will be required to complete online and in-person training to get certified as a Direct Care Provider.

Important Note:

This client requires a split shift, with staff providing services early in the morning for two hours and approximately five hours during the afternoon and evening shift. During the week, the client requires services two to three times per week. Every other weekend, staff will be required to work from early in the morning until the early hours of the night. This job requires a commitment to work different shifts on different days and to work alternate weekends on a rotational shift basis. Shifts are coordinated at least two to four weeks in advance.
