Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, patient, professional, and experienced Caregiver or Home Health Aide for a unique private-duty case providing care to a younger adult client who lives independently in his own apartment. The client is alert, oriented, communicative, and actively directs his own care . He uses a wheelchair and requires hands-on assistance with mobility and activities of daily living. The ideal caregiver will be comfortable working with a client who maintains a very structured daily routine and prefers tasks to be completed consistently and in a specific manner . This position is best suited for someone who is patient, attentive to detail, respectful of client choice, and able to follow an established routine while supporting the client's independence. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living and personal care Assist with wheelchair mobility and positioning Provide hands-on assistance with transfers and mobility needs Assist with household and homemaking tasks Follow the client's established daily schedule and preferred routines Prepare meals and assist with other daily household needs Provide companionship and community support Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment Accompany the client to appointments, activities, social events, and community outings Safely drive the client when transportation is required Respect the client's independence, choices, privacy, and personal preferences Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times Physical Requirements Candidate must be physically capable of safely performing the essential functions of the position, including: Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 75 pounds Assisting with transfers and wheelchair mobility Repositioning and providing physical assistance as needed Performing caregiver duties for extended periods during a live-in assignment Minimum Qualifications At least 1 year of verifiable homemaker, caregiver, CNA, or Home Health Aide experience Must be able to successfully complete a Florida Level 2 background screening Valid driver's license Clean and verifiable driving record Reliable transportation Comfortable driving a client to appointments, activities, and community events Reliable attendance and ability to commit consistently to the Monday-Wednesday schedule Strong communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and established routines Professional, respectful, patient, and dependable Ideal Candidate We are especially interested in a caregiver who is calm, mature, consistent, organized, and detail-oriented . Because this client has established preferences regarding how his daily routine is completed, the successful caregiver must be comfortable receiving direction directly from the client and performing tasks consistently.
