This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and helper, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition, reporting any changes promptly. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary requirements. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote independence and social engagement. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in health or behavior. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and home health practices. Ability to operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, manual handling tools, and blood pressure monitors. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and coordinating with healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights. Certified in CPR and First Aid; experience administering medications safely is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
