Caregiver / Companion for Independent Woman Recovering from Health Challenges Silver Companions Home Care is seeking a compassionate, patient, and confident Care Provider to assist an independent, strong-willed woman in her late 50s to early 60s who is adjusting to significant health changes. This is a PT position with the possibility to turn into FT with the right person. Our client led a very active, busy lifestyle before becoming ill and is determined to maintain as much independence as possible. Due to recent health challenges, she now requires assistance with daily activities while continuing to enjoy meaningful conversation, companionship, and staying engaged in the community. This is an excellent opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys building relationships—not just completing tasks.

Responsibilities:

Assist with walking and mobility Help with dressing and personal care Prepare meals and light kitchen cleanup Provide companionship and engaging conversation Encourage participation in activities and mental stimulation Transport and accompany the client to doctor's appointments Provide transportation for occasional errands, grocery shopping, and community outings as needed Promote independence while providing support when needed Observe and report any changes in condition Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment

Is patient, compassionate, and dependable Has a safe driving record, reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license Can confidently work with a strong personality while remaining respectful Enjoys meaningful conversation and genuinely likes spending time with others Is engaging, upbeat, and able to provide companionship throughout the day Understands the importance of preserving a client's dignity and independence Has previous home care or caregiving experience (preferred) This position is ideal for someone who believes caregiving is about more than physical assistance—it's about helping someone continue to enjoy life, maintain her independence, and remain connected to the activities and conversations she loves. $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
