Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and helper, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Support patients with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding if necessary, and manage meal plans aligned with dietary requirements. Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility. Offer transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and Alzheimer's support strategies. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is preferred. Proficiency in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing changes in health status. Familiarity with care plans development and medication management practices. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or heavy lifting training are advantageous.
