Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytime, and sensory experiences. Create a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Implement age-appropriate curricula aligned with early childhood education standards and individual child needs. Supervise children closely to ensure safety at all times, adhering to child supervision best practices and classroom management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns or updates. Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and behavior management notes in compliance with licensing requirements. Administer first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary and follow mandated reporting laws to ensure children's safety and well-being are prioritized. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child development instruction methods. Certification in first aid and CPR (child-specific) is required; ongoing training preferred. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly valued. Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to foster positive behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements related to child safety. Prior experience in toddler care or infant care is advantageous; preschool experience is preferred.
