Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient conditions by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall health status Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to safely move individuals Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings Document patient observations accurately in accordance with facility protocols and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus Ability to perform patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and basic first aid including CPR certification Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Familiarity with care plans, medication administration procedures, HIPAA compliance, and patient personal care assistance Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks; experience using patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts is desirable Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional training in hospice or geriatrics is beneficial Join us in providing exceptional caregiving that enriches lives!
