Job Summary Join our dedicated team as Resting Nest Personal Care Home, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. This role is vital in providing overnight support, ensuring safety, and assisting residents with their daily needs in a warm and respectful environment. You will be the reassuring presence during the night hours, helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while managing their health and safety needs. Duties Provide personal care assistance including helping residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor residents' health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes or concerns Assist with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Ensure a safe environment by conducting regular safety checks, responding promptly to emergencies, and utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Support residents with mobility needs, including transferring using assistive devices and managing equipment like wheelchairs or walkers Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through light cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort Document all care activities accurately in EMR systems and communicate any significant observations to daytime staff or healthcare professionals Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred however not required as in the job training is available. Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care for seniors or individuals with disabilities Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and behavior management techniques Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response procedures such as first aid Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation is highly desirable Previous roles involving home & community care or group home settings are advantageous Valid driver's license for driving residents or running errands is a plus Join us if you're passionate about delivering compassionate overnight support that enhances residents' quality of life.
