Caregiver (Assisted Living - Part-Time 3pm to 11pm) About the

Job Responsibilities:
Follow the individualized Service Plan (ISP) for each assigned resident. Observe residents for changes in condition and report any changes immediately to the nursing supervisor. Document daily care and any concerns throughout the shift, including rounds at night. Check and record vital signs, weights, and perform other duties as assigned and in accordance with state regulations and community policies. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed—bathing, oral care, toileting, dressing, etc. Perform restorative nursing techniques, including proper positioning, ADL training, and passive range of motion. Support residents by providing prompts, cues, redirection, and affirming support as required. Encourage and assist residents to participate in scheduled activities and assist in getting them to activities as needed. Assist residents with safe transfers and ambulation using appropriate body mechanics and equipment. Provide transportation for residents within the facility and accompany to appointments as necessary. Respond to urgent calls promptly as assigned. Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Nursing Assistant Training Program certificate (approved by the State Board of Nursing), if required by state. CPR and First Aid certification, if required by state. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching overhead, and fine manipulation. Ability to safely assist with transfers, repositioning, and use of equipment for resident mobility. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Previous experience as a caregiver in an assisted living or long-term care setting. Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of restorative care and dementia care best practices.
