Make a Difference — and Have Fun Doing It! Penta Nascent Corp. is looking for creative, dependable, and energetic Activity Coordinators to join our 16-bed ICF/DD homes in Centralia and Salem. This is more than a typical direct-care position. As the Activity Coordinator, you'll help plan and lead activities, outings, and special events based on the interests and abilities of the people we support. One day might include an afternoon outing, another might involve a game night, cooking activity, shopping trip, community event, or simply finding a fun way to spend time together. You'll also provide hands-on support to residents throughout your shift, helping create a safe, welcoming environment where people have opportunities to make choices, build independence, and be involved in their community. What You'll Do Plan and lead daily activities, recreational programs, special events, and community outings Create monthly activity calendars based on resident interests, preferences, and abilities Take residents into the community for activities, appointments, shopping, events, and other outings Encourage participation while respecting individual choice and independence Provide direct support and assistance with daily living needs Supervise residents and help maintain a safe and positive home environment Administer medications in accordance with your certification and facility policies Assist with meals and follow required food service and sanitation standards Complete activity records and other required documentation Work closely with nursing staff, DSPs, QIDPs, and management Help the people we support stay active, engaged, connected, and involved in their community This Position Requires Flexibility This is a 2nd shift position, but the schedule will vary based on the needs of the home and the activities and outings being planned. Because activities and community outings don't always fit neatly into the same schedule every day, flexibility is a must. Candidates should be comfortable with a varying 2nd-shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed . You'll Need High school diploma or GED Current DSP Certification Current Medication Administration (Med Tech) Certification Current Food Service Sanitation Certification Valid driver's license Good driving record Must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles and transport residents, in accordance with our insurance requirements Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred This Is a Driving Position A significant part of this role involves transporting residents in company vehicles for community activities, appointments, shopping, events, and outings. Because you'll be driving the people we support, you must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be at least 21 years old to be covered under our company vehicle insurance.
