Duties:
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. •You must be comfortable assisting clients of any gender with personal care. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and security. This includes day-to-day housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing the dishes, making the bed, completing laundry, etc. Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the office. Engage clients in social activities to keep them engaged throughout the shift. Assist with transportation needs for appointments or social outings as required. Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress. Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers-we call ours Care Pros-will go through specific paid training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility.
