Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Support residents with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Provide companionship and emotional support through engaging conversations and activities that promote mental stimulation Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and hospice or home health services Familiarity with patient observation techniques, patient monitoring tools, and documentation of care plans Ability to assist with ADLs using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus Strong communication skills in two languages; experience working with diverse populations is preferred Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely and effectively; experience with heavy lifting required for certain client needs Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for providing personal transportation assistance when necessary Join our team to provide compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
