Must hold an active Illinois RN or LPN license to apply. (For insurance reasons, we cannot consider unlicensed or out-of-state applicants.) We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Illinois-licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our home care team and support our sweet adult daughter (30s) who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and respiratory needs. She is calm, gentle, and has no behavioral concerns--just needs skilled, attentive care from someone who truly enjoys making a difference.

Position Details Shift:

Night shift, 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 a.m. (13 hours) Wed. Thur. Sun every other week

Requirement:

Must remain awake and alert throughout the night and dependable. Must carry professional liability insurance. Training provided. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history reviews to develop tailored care plans. Administer medications and treatments via G button, catheter care, following strict medical protocols and documentation standards. Monitor patients' conditions closely, managing seizures, acute pain, respiratory issues, or infectious diseases with prompt interventions. Respond effectively to emergencies such as airway management or urgent medical situations during overnight shifts. Must be able to provide personal care, bathing, changing, etc. Skills Valid Illinois RN or LPN license with current certification to practice in Illinois. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a private home Proficiency in documentation and patient tracking. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology. Skilled in medication administration and sterile techniques such as catheterization. Ability to perform patient assessment accurately, including intake procedures and vital signs monitoring during overnight hours. Excellent caregiver communication skills to educate family and coordinate complex care plans effectively. Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols including first aid and airway management techniques. Must be able to provide personal care, bathing, changing, etc.

Pay:

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour as a contractor. This is not an agency. It's best if the person lives with in 25 miles of Mount Prospect for dependability and commuting purposes.
