Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote independence and comfort. Observe changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene standards. Support medication reminders following care plans and HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy. Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community engagement activities. Engage in light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment conducive to health and comfort. Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or developmental disabilities with patience and understanding. Follow all safety protocols and emergency response procedures to ensure client safety at all times. Experience Prior experience working in home health care or long-term care settings is highly preferred. Experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, or senior care is advantageous. Familiarity with assisted living environments, nursing homes, or group home settings enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights and privacy standards (HIPAA compliance). Hands-on experience with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs.
