This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their safety and comfort. Fluency in two languages is essential to effectively communicate and build trust with diverse clients. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts when necessary Observe and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs, medication administration, and overall well-being, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, light cleaning, and assisting with housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting relationship through effective client communication in both languages Follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or support for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety during transfers and mobility assistance Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, care provided, and any incidents or changes in condition Skills Fluency in at least two languages to facilitate clear communication with diverse clients and team members Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification Familiarity with specialized care such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and memory care practices Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Strong understanding of resident's rights and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations Excellent interpersonal skills for compassionate client interaction and team collaboration Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus Join us as a Bilingual Caregiver to provide vital support that enhances the quality of life for those in your care.
