Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Support patients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals to ensure ongoing safety and health management Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including special diets for dementia or Alzheimer's care Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities using safe driving practices Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, medication administration, and incident reports in compliance with healthcare standards Engage in patient monitoring during home health visits or hospice care to ensure comfort and safety at all times Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and assisting with communication efforts Uphold residents' rights by respecting their preferences, privacy, and autonomy within assisted living or long-term care settings Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification Experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is advantageous Familiarity with dementia care practices including Alzheimer's and memory care approaches is essential Proven ability to assist with ADLs safely using manual handling tools like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times Ability to perform light cleaning duties related to client spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring long-term care support is a plus Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that enriches lives!
