Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals needing personalized care in their own homes. You will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence and comfort. Your efforts will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve, fostering trust and building lasting relationships. Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to clients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status; report findings promptly to healthcare professionals. Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote healthy living. Support clients with home & community care activities including light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or errands using personal transportation methods when necessary. Document all care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards and communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams. Qualifications Proven experience working as an In Home Caregiver or similar role in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan implementation. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders like autism or intellectual disabilities support. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; compassionate attitude toward individuals with disabilities or age-related needs. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, or those requiring long-term care is highly valued.
