In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to promote independence, dignity, and well-being. Whether working in assisted living facilities, home health settings, or community care environments, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring safety and comfort for those you serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to support their independence and comfort Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Support medication reminders under supervision Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges or disabilities Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas and laundry Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Qualifications Prior experience working in private homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient transfers or heavy lifting requirements Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, families, and social workers Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia enhances your ability to provide compassionate care We are looking to hire nights and days
