Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting
  • Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of individuals
  • Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
  • Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being and dignity
  • Drive individuals to appointments, outings, and activities as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as transferring individuals or assisting with mobility
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
  • First aid and CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
