Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and dignity Provide behavioral support using positive behavior management techniques tailored to each individual's needs Support clients during community outings and appointments, including driving a standard passenger car when necessary Facilitate communication using American Sign Language or other methods as appropriate to client needs Collect data on client progress and behavior to inform care plans and support team collaboration Administer medication following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records Engage clients in social activities, recreational pursuits, and skill-building exercises to enhance social skills and community integration Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or cognitive disabilities Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health strategies Proficiency in American Sign Language preferred for effective communication with clients Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and client-centered care approaches Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for personal transportation assistance or client outings Background in home & community care, caregiving, or social services environments Excellent communication skills for clear client interaction and documentation First aid and CPR certification required for emergency preparedness Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays highly valued Ability to assist with personal care tasks and support clients' independence in daily routines This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to support others while gaining valuable experience in social services, behavioral health, or caregiving fields.
