Job Description
Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Resident Care Associate (Nights) and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents during overnight hours. In this role, you will support residents with their daily needs, promote safety and comfort, and ensure a warm, welcoming environment. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for residents with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, dementia support, and assisted living services. This is an excellent opportunity for caring individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents during overnight hours by checking on their safety, comfort, and well-being regularly Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning, laundry assistance, and adherence to infection control procedures Document incidents, resident interactions, and care activities thoroughly in compliance with facility policies Support meal preparation and assist residents with feeding as needed while respecting dietary restrictions Engage residents in social activities or provide companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Assist with transportation or driving duties for appointments or outings when required Experience Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or personal care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of long-term care practices, home & community care experience, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia care techniques, and memory care strategies Experience administering medications and taking vital signs accurately Comfort working with EMR systems for documentation purposes Previous caregiving roles involving social work or behavior management are advantageous Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility aids safely Valid driver's license and driving experience are beneficial for transportation duties Join us in creating a nurturing environment where residents feel valued, safe, and cared for around the clock.
