I am a 32-year-old woman with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, POTS, Insomnia, and Autism. I'm looking for a PCA for afternoon, evening, or overnight coverage. I work best with PCAs who have a patient-but-direct communication style. Due to my Autism, I may have difficulty with certain social cues and time to process is sometimes necessary when I'm overwhelmed. During times when my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome flares up, I may also become non-verbal and require extra supervision. I am able to walk several steps but need assistance getting in and out of my bed, wheelchair, and couch or into the shower. Currently, I am looking for coverage in the late afternoon through evening and possible awake overnight shifts. Due to my insomnia, I keep late hours and am generally active (though in my room) at night. Currently, there is flexibility around scheduling. Female PCAs preferred. Assist with ADLS such as bathing, toileting and dressing Assist with housework, laundry, etc. Meal preparation Managing medication schedule, administering medication Shopping Accompanying participant to doctors' appointments, college classes and community activities Assistance transferring from bed to wheelchair and from chair to shower. Applicants must be comfortable with a large but well-behaved dog. Up-to-date Covid 19 vaccination or willingness to wear a mask when sick required. English fluency required.

Pay:

$19.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 24.0 per week
