Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Support clients with medication administration and monitor vital signs to maintain health and safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Provide patient observation and monitor for changes in condition or behavior, documenting findings accurately. Help with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings. Knowledge of patient care practices including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and patient transfers. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care plans. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable. Must be reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to respecting residents' rights while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
