Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Personal Support Worker, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to participants across various medical settings. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence. Monitor patient conditions regularly and report any changes or concerns promptly to nursing staff or medical professionals. Support patients during medical procedures by preparing equipment, assisting with positioning, and ensuring patient safety through manual handling techniques. Maintain accurate medical documentation and update electronic health records (EHR) with detailed notes on patient status and care provided. Provide health education to patients and their families on topics like medication management, hygiene practices, and post-discharge care instructions. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as blood sampling, specimen collection, and basic diagnostic procedures like radiology or blood tests. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, practicing proper manual handling, and maintaining cleanliness of the care area. Skills Proven experience in critical care or acute care settings, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and nursing procedures. Knowledge of health education principles and patient service best practices to foster positive patient interactions. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required to respond effectively during emergencies. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems for accurate documentation and data entry. Ability to perform manual handling safely when assisting patients with mobility or transfers. Experience in plastic Excellent client communication skills to build trust and ensure clear understanding of care plans. $24.07 - $30.00 per hour
