Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining detailed care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of prescribed treatments Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages social engagement and mental well-being Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is preferred Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior and document findings accurately Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or manual handling are a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining patient safety Join us to become an essential part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional personal care.
