Part-Time About the Position Chesapeake Home Health Care (CHHC) is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Homemaker & Care Companion to provide supportive in-home services to a client in Upper Marlboro, Maryland . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment, preparing meals, and providing meaningful companionship. Responsibilities The Homemaker & Care Companion will assist with: Light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized home Laundry, folding, and putting away clothing and linens Meal preparation and cooking Grocery and meal-related assistance as assigned Maintaining kitchen and household areas Providing companionship and friendly conversation Engaging the client in appropriate activities and social interaction Providing general household support and assistance with daily routines Observing and reporting any changes or concerns regarding the client's well-being to the appropriate CHHC staff Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, homemaking, companion care, hospitality, or a related field preferred Reliable, dependable, and punctual Compassionate and respectful toward clients Ability to work independently in a client's home Good communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation Must be able to maintain client confidentiality and follow CHHC policies Background screening and other required employment clearances may be required Why Join CHHC?
