Job Description

Seeking Personal Support Staff to provide one-on-one support two days per week, evenings 5pm-9pm and one weekend day from 12pm-8pm (hours are flexible) to a 30 YO woman who has developmental disabilities and related caregiving needs, utilizing DDA Self-Directed Services to ensure she has the support needed to live in her home and community as independently as possible in the Westminster area.

You will be an employee of the individual you are supporting and paid through a fiscal management service. You will not be an employee of Kent Buhrman, LLC.

kbuhrmanllc@gmail.com This position provides direct supervision and person-centered support with social skills, health and safety, personal hygiene, functional communication, behavioral support, and community access skills. You will assist the individual with:
  • Maximizing independence by reinforcing various life, safety, social, and recreational skills
  • Providing 1:1 arm's length supervision in the community and line of sight supervision in the home
  • Engaging in meaningful community activities
  • Providing personal assistance as necessary, including assistance with personal hygiene
  • Assisting to participate in independent living activities
  • Behavioral Support, as needed, including implementation of a positive behavioral support plan
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus (applicant must be 18 years of age or older)
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with less than two points and reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid CPR & First Aid Certification (must include in person skills training component; hybrid class is okay)
  • Prior training and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities including autism is preferred. RBT certification is desired

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
