Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, and highly qualified Weekend In-Home Caregiver / CMT to provide essential one-on-one care on Saturdays and Sundays. At $30.00 per hour , this position offers a premium, highly competitive wage. You will play a critical role in managing specialized mobility transfers, administering medications and nutrition via a G-tube, handling light housekeeping/laundry, and driving the client to community activities using a provided family vehicle. All clinical tasks are fully supervised and supported by a licensed Delegating Nurse (RN) under a formal nurse delegation plan.
Employment & Payroll Structure Employer Model:
This position operates under the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Self-Directed Services program.
Your Management Team:
The family acts as the direct employer. We handle all interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, and daily supervision.
Payroll Processing:
All hours, taxes, withholding, and paychecks are securely processed and paid through our designated state-approved Financial Management Services (FMCS) fiscal agent. Job Schedule & Hours This is a permanent weekend position totaling 15 hours per week :
Saturdays:
9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (9 hours)
Sundays:
11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (6 hours) Job Requirements & Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
License Required:
Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required.
Certifications Required:
Current, valid First Aid and CPR certifications (must be maintained throughout employment).
Clinical Expertise:
Proven, hands-on experience managing and maintaining G-tubes for nutritional feeding and medication administration.
Mobility Expertise:
Demonstrated experience performing safe wheelchair transfers utilizing a Hoyer lift .
Transportation Requirements:
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (you will drive the provided family vehicle; no personal vehicle wear-and-tear or gas expenses incurred).
Background Screening:
Must be willing to undergo and pass the mandatory DDA-compliant criminal background check.
Core Responsibilities G-Tube & Medication Management:
Safely administer prescribed medications and nutritional formulas via G-tube in strict accordance with CMT guidelines and safety protocols; maintain, flush, and monitor the tube site.
Specialized Mobility & Transfers:
Safely execute wheelchair transfers using a Hoyer lift , ensuring the client's comfort and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Weekend Outings & Transportation:
Accompany and drive the client to weekend social activities, community events, parks, or errands using the provided household vehicle.
Daily Living Support:
Assist with mobility, personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation during shift hours.
Light Housekeeping & Laundry:
Maintain a clean, safe living environment by washing, drying, folding, and putting away the client's clothing and bed linens . Clean up dishes used during shifts and keep client areas free of hazards.

Clinical Support:
Comprehensive oversight and training provided by a Licensed Delegating Nurse , ensuring full compliance with state nursing board regulations and safety for your license.
Work Environment:

Pay:
$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
