Paid Training Provided Location:
Caribou, Maine Pay:
$20.00 per hour; $21.00 per hour for overnight shifts

Position Type:
Temp-to-Hire Position Summary Immediate openings for Direct Care Behavioral Health Professionals to provide compassionate, structured supervision and support for foster children awaiting long-term placement. Staff will care for up to three children at a time while maintaining a safe, stable, and home-like environment. No previous behavioral health experience is required. The agency will provide and pay for required training and BHP certification. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children awaiting foster placement. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive home environment. Assist with meals, activities, hygiene reminders, daily routines, and bedtime routines. Build positive and professional relationships with children through patience, empathy, and consistency. Encourage positive behaviors and help children feel respected and supported. Complete required documentation and communicate with supervisors and team members. Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families. Follow agency policies and maintain required certifications and training. Work collaboratively with coworkers to provide consistent, high-quality care. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license required; a vehicle will be provided for work-related transportation. Ability to pass all required background checks, including DHS checks. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background check results. Willingness to complete agency-paid BHP certification, orientation, and training. Interest in working with children and adolescents. Patient, dependable, flexible, and able to remain calm during challenging situations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Available Shifts Morning shifts Afternoon and evening shifts Overnight shifts with a $1.00-per-hour differential Weekend availability may be required Shifts will generally range from 8 to 10 hours Overnight employees will be hired specifically for overnight coverage. Day and evening staff will not be expected to rotate into overnight shifts.
